First of all, the first two groups of Developer tab is already discussed. In this post, we’ll discuss about the buttons of the Controls group. So far, the Code group and the Add-ins group had been explained by now.

And, we got to know about the Visual Basic button the Record Macro button and the Excel Add-ins button etc; and so on. Additionally, the Macros, Use Relative References, COM Add-ins etc. was elaborated in those posts.

The Controls group is the third group of the Developer tab. It has five buttons/tools in the group. They are the Insert button, Design Mode button and the Properties button etc. Also’re the View Code button and the Run Dialog button. Also notice, the Insert button is accompanied by tiny Drop down Menu.

The Form Controls and the ActiveX Controls are the two categories within the Insert button. Firstly, the Insert button helps users to choose and insert controls into the excel document. The various Form Controls are present under the categories of the Form Controls and the ActiveX Controls.

Few of the Form Controls are the Button and the Combo Box etc. Also are the Check Box, the Spin Button, the List Box and the Option Button.

Then, some of the ActiveX Controls are the Toggle Button Control, the Image Button Control, the Label button Control etc; and so on. Secondly, the Design Mode button helps users to enter into design window by toggling design mode button on and off.

Thirdly, the Properties button lets user to see or modify required properties for the selected controls. Fourthly, the View Code tool button helps to edit the Visual Basic codes written for the controls.

Lastly, the Run Dialog button lets excel users to run a custom dialog box. Custom Dialog boxes are pop up window in square or rectangular form having inbuilt controls within them.
