Different ways are there to Paste data or content in Excel. But, let us first of all know that, What is Paste ? Why to use Paste ? And, How to do Paste in Excel? Above all, Paste is initially inactive, and it becomes active after the Copy or Cut button has been pressed.

So, Paste is the last step for creating a Copy or Cut of any data, from one place to another. Also, the permanent shifting or cloning of data could be done using Paste. For example, it can be a Text, Number or any Picture etc. Users can Paste several amounts of the content, whether single or more than single.

The purpose of Paste is to create same actual copy of the content, to a new location in sheet. Notably, the Paste saves from retyping, also saves time, and sometimes makes space for the putting new data.

Moreover, the Pasting of data is done, in almost every software program. Further, the types of steps and the ways to Paste data in Excel 2016 have been mentioned below.

Firstly, click on the cell having text or number etc. Next, from the Clipboard group, click on the Copy or Cut button. Then, click anywhere on any of the cell in sheet. And, click the Paste button.

Secondly, click on the cell having content in it. Further, press the Right click Mouse button. A Menu list with various options will show up. And, now Left click on the Copy or Cut option from the Menu List. Then, next Right click with the Mouse button and select Paste option from the Menu List.

Thirdly, click on the cell having data in it. Next, use by pressing the Shortcut Key from the Keyboard i.e. (Ctrl+C) to Copy or (Ctrl+X) to Cut. Further, click on any other cell in the worksheet. And, press the Shortcut Key i.e. (Ctrl+V) to Paste.

Fourthly, select the cell which has the data. Also, users can select a range of cells having which has data. Further, press the Menu key or known as Application key. Next, press the “T” key from the Keyboard to Cut or “Cbutton to Copy. Then, click on any of the cell in the sheet. And, now press the Menu key and Press the “P” key from the Keyboard to Paste.

Even more, click on the cell which has the content. Then, Press the “Alt” key from the Keyboard to activate the Shortcut with Underscore keys. Next, Press the “H” key for the Home tab ribbon to activate.

Then, Press the “X” key to Cut or “C” key to Copy by activating any of these buttons. And, now click somewhere in the other cell in sheet. Lastly, Press the “Alt”, “H”, “V” and “P” keys to Paste.
